Day 1

So this is my umpteenth attempt at losing weight over the past 15 years. I have at times been successful getting down to as low as 145 lbs (of course I was working out 2 hours a day, taking 2 fat burners, and eating nothing but egg whites and lo carb Ben and Jerry's - Completely healthy I know). I've tried every diet under the sun including Atkins, South Beach, fasting, cutting weight, and Weight Watchers... just to name a few. I have read every diet and exercise book that is available to man thinking that every book is going to give me the new enlightening idea that will finally lead me to the ultimate goal .... Being healthy and thin.

So here I am 15 years later in the same boat I was except for who knows how much money I've spent looking for the quick fix. I decided to try something new. So here's the gimmick this round: Whole natural foods (I know shocker!!!!), drinking water, and no artificial sweeteners. Seems pretty logical and not that hard to a normal person but let me explain to you my typical diet for a day. On my way to work at 630 am I usually consume a 5 Hour Energy shot. Then once I get to work one of my coworkers, who seemed like a lifesaver at the time, has a 24oz sugar free Red Bull waiting for me. I usually finish that by around 8:30am (still no actual food in my body). When I go to my morning meeting (in the cafeteria of course) I sometimes eat a bowl of cereal, with Splenda on it of course, and accompany it with  Diet Pepsi. I usually have 2 sodas before I hit lunch at about 1130 am. Lunch is usually whatever is in the cafeteria. It usually consists of some sort of rice or pasta drenched in oil or butter paired with a just as bad, but dry piece of protein, I usually smoother it with cheese and sour cream to make it more palatable. After lunch I get about 5 mini candy bars and devour them within 5 minutes. I don't eat, unless you count the 3 Diet Pepsi's or the second Five Hour Energy Shot, until about 5pm when I go for round two in the cafeteria which consists of the same thing as round one. I finally go home around 7pm and then either eat some more junk or just go to sleep because I am so exhausted.

Cutting out caffeine is going to be my biggest challenge. Well that and the whole having to think about my meals before they actually happen thing.

So wish me luck and we will see how day 1 turns out :)
